Bloggers and friends from across the internet posted stories and tallied comments totaling nearly 6,000 about the Charlie Grady Miracle Makeover during our 2011 comments week. Design Gives Back donated $1 per comment to be shared with Friends of Kids With Cancer and an upcoming Miracle Makeover for someone in-need. Last week, Kelee Katillac and the John Grady family (above right), presented a check for $ 3,000 to FOKC executive director, Judy Ciapciak (above left).
"Working with Kelee and the Design Gives Back team has been a pure joy and so easy. We have received so much from their efforts," said Ciapciak.
After the check presentation, Kelee and the Grady family went to dinner. Charlie, age 9,( shown above) is doing well...one year later! He is now in chemo and his room continues to provide him with hope and inspiration. Charlie suffers from NF-1 and has brain tumors as a result. Watch Charlie and his family in their inspiring Miracle Makeovertm just below.
The Design Gives Back team would like to thank all of our Design Angel blog affiliates and friends that lent so much time and talent to this project.
